The Skeg and The Machina are two concept cars based on the Mini Cooper John Cooper Works hatchback, created in collaboration with Deus Ex Machina. The Skeg draws surf inspiration, while The Machina is rally-ready, both showcasing sporty designs with cultural flair.

The Skeg is inspired by surf culture, featuring fiberglass panels like modern surfboards, riveted fenders, and a rear wing shaped like a surfboard fin. Its silver paint with yellow accents and roof straps evoke a beach-ready vibe.

The Skeg uses an electric JCW powertrain with a front-mounted motor delivering 255 horsepower. It's based on the electric Mini Cooper JCW hatchback.

The electric JCW version, including The Skeg concept, is not yet available in the US due to tariffs on Chinese-built EVs. It's a concept revealed ahead of the IAA show in Munich.

Mini partnered with Deus Ex Machina, a surf-and-bike lifestyle brand, to create The Skeg and The Machina, blending automotive performance with cultural elements.
